Do you have tight muscles or carpal tunnel? At Reflections Therapeutic Massage, we address even the tightest muscles and connective tissues. Our licensed and fully-trained massage therapists are well versed in myofascial massage therapy. Ideal if you have stubborn knots and you’re looking for pain relief, flexibility, and increased flexibility a MFR Massage may be for you.
Surrounding your musculoskeletal structures are protective bands and bundles of fibers called fascia. The fascia is normally very flexible, but when you are stressed, injured, or doing repetitive motions, you can get tightness and tension in your fascia.
Your therapist will gently work on the muscle knots, also known as trigger points, that form where your fascia has gotten tight and stiff. They will use kneading motions to help release the tension and restore your full range of motion.
Similar to trigger point therapy, but it is not the same thing. With trigger point therapy, your massage therapist will apply deep and direct pressure to muscle knots. With myofascial release, your therapist will focus on slower, gentler stretching and dynamic movement. Instead of targeting specific knots, they will work a larger area of tissue. Both are excellent massage techniques that can work together to help relieve your pain.
Pain relief, improved flexibility, and improved circulation are some of the main benefits. Conditions that cause chronic pain such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, and multiple sclerosis, may be improved with manual release therapy. You might notice a positive difference in your mobility and flexibility and you may also notice benefits from improved circulation, such as improved energy, better digestion, fewer headaches, and less numbness or tingling. You might even benefit from the breaking down of scar tissue in your fascia and the surrounding structures.
Stress relief is another helpful benefit of this gentle massage therapy technique, and you may find that you leave your appointment in a better, calmer mood. This type of therapy works wonderfully when you receive it regularly.
Much like other types of massage therapy, will start with a brief consultation with your therapist where you talk about your areas of pain. Then, you will lie on the massage table under a sheet while your massage therapist uses gentle pressure and sweeping motions to release tension in your muscle bands.

We agreed it was the best massage either of us have ever had. Highly recommended!Posted on Aimee KingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My boyfriend and I went there this past weekend and had a couples massage with Andrea and Scott. He likes deep tissue work while I like light-medium. Both of our individual messages were amazing. We felt in another world when we got done. Will definitely be going back.Posted on Mark CaseyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've been seeing Andrea for years now, and she is truly a master of the craft with advanced technique and healing hands! Whatever area of pain and discomfort, whether new or baseline, will receive precision care and treatment. It's easy to see that she embodies the mission of wellness tailored to the individual, with strong instincts, knowledge, and skill! I not only feel better physically, but my mind becomes clearer, and my spirit regains tranquility. I'm honestly recovered through and through. Andrea doesn't just give a massage. The experience is physical and mental rehabilitation! I'm a tight ball of knots from stress and mental health struggles, and I find relief. Gravity only mildly exists for me after each session. I won't go anywhere else because I couldn't feel more comfortable, happier, or better!Posted on Angela HallTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a fantastic experience at Reflections Massage with Scott. He really listened to my needs and understood why I was there before starting the session. This was honestly one of the best massages I’ve ever had, and I’ve had many over the years. As a health coach, and going through grief, I believe in filling my own cup so I can pour into others, and this was exactly what I needed. Scott is kind, professional, and incredibly skilled at finding and working out tension and knots. I felt amazing afterward and continued to feel great for days. Highly recommend booking with Scott. I can’t wait for my next visit!Posted on Ashley MillerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
